At Retro Lane, we want you to have a smooth shopping experience. This policy explains our shipping, delivery, and returns process so you know exactly what to expect.
1. Shipping & Delivery
Processing Time
Orders are usually processed within 1–3 business days after payment confirmation.
You will receive an email confirmation once your order has been processed.
Shipping Methods
We ship via trusted local couriers across South Africa.
If you are located outside South Africa and are interested in our products, please contact us for a shipping quote.
Shipping is charged at a flat rate of R85 per delivery. This rate covers most orders. In the rare case of a very large or heavy order, we will contact you before dispatch if any additional cost applies.
Estimated Delivery Times
Estimated delivery is 3–7 business days after dispatch.
Orders are dispatched within 1–3 working days.
Delivery times are estimates and may vary depending on location, courier availability, public holidays, or unforeseen delays.
Tracking Your Order
Once your order is dispatched, you will receive a tracking number via email.
You can use the tracking link to view delivery updates.
Shipping Address Responsibility
Please ensure your shipping address is correct before completing your purchase. Retro Lane cannot be held responsible for delays or delivery issues resulting from incorrect or incomplete address details provided by the customer.
If a parcel is returned to us due to an incorrect address or failure to collect, additional shipping charges may apply for re-delivery.
2. Returns & Refunds
We comply with the South African Consumer Protection Act (CPA).
Eligibility
Physical products: Returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery. Items must be unused, in original condition, and in original packaging.
Digital products: Digital downloads are non-refundable once the file has been accessed or downloaded.
Damaged or Faulty Items
If you receive a damaged or faulty item, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery.
In accordance with the Consumer Protection Act, customers have the right to return defective goods within six (6) months of delivery. If a product is confirmed to be defective, we will arrange a repair, replacement, or refund at no additional cost to you.
Return Process
Contact us at hello@retrolane.co.za with your order number and reason for return.
We will provide return instructions and the return address.
Please ship the item securely using a trackable method.
Unless the return is due to a defect or our error, return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.
Refunds
Refunds are processed within 7–10 business days after we receive and inspect the returned item(s).
Refunds will be made to the original payment method.
Original shipping costs are non-refundable unless the return is due to a defective product or our error.
Exchanges
If you would like to exchange an item for another product, please contact us and we will guide you through the process.
